International Women’s Day is a day to acknowledge the struggle for gender equality ,as well as, celebrate the achievements of women to society.

Although a global initiative, a local brand is doing what it can to commemorate the day. The very Jamaican and traditional alcoholic brand, Sangster’s Jamaica Rum Cream, is putting a “spin on things” and calling for women in Jamaica to acknowledge and celebrate the women they admire in their latest campaign, “Redefine Sisterhood.”

When you post a picture of a woman you respect or admire using the hashtag #SupportOurSisters on you social networks throughout the month of March (Facebook, Twitter or Instagram), Sangster’s Jamaica Rum Cream will donate $JA100 to Women’s Inc., a local organization which offers a safe haven for women who have been affected by rape, incest and/or sexual harassment.

You can also show your support when you purchase a 750ml bottle at PriceSmart or HiLo Supermarkets island-wide.

Be sure to share this message on your social networks, invite your friends to like  Sangster’s Facebook page, follow them on Twitter and Instagram.

This is Kesi Gardner's bio. Here is a little bit of copy about her. She's an ad-woman and all round great person. She's worked with some of the best in the business and is really passionate about advertising and social media. She loves it so much that not only did she teach it but never misses a Superbowl, just so she can watch the commercials. She goes the extra mile for her clients, sleeps about 5 hours per night and is obsessed with making a mark that people will remember. Her philosophy is that aesthetic design does impact the perception and ultimately the value of a brand. She also ran a successful t-shirt business where guerilla marketing and digital media marketing were used to drive sales.
